Tryptic Commission Paintings Process

Tryptic Commission Paintings Process

Here's a little peek into the process I have developed for creating custom fine artworks for my clients.

This "tryptic" which means group of three is one of my custom abstract commissions painted with acrylic and gold leaf paint on gallery wrapped canvases. Combined, the canvases are 37"x77".

The homeowners and their interior designer wanted some artwork to fill the large wall above the staircase in their open concept main floor. They took me on a tour of their beautifully renovated home so that I could get a sense of colour palette and style and then we discussed what types of artwork would be suitable for their tastes and the mood that they wanted to create within the space.

I then researched a number of different styles of art that I found on-line and sent them examples of what I thought would work well. After their feedback, I created some computer generated images of what the artwork would look like on the wall and options for different canvas sizes and arrangements. After they decided which one they loved the most I waved my magic wand and a few weeks later, POOF! They were delivered to their new home!😀

The photos below show the process from start to finish.
